SEAC Shines Brighter Than Ever!
This week, the children of St Edward’s Academy Cheddleton (SEAC) have absolutely wowed us all with their spectacular whole school performance of The Wizard of Oz!
From our tiniest stars in EYFS, to our confident Year 4s, every child played a part — whether acting, singing, managing stage direction, or even running the lighting. Their talent, teamwork, and dedication have been nothing short of incredible.
We’ve been blown away by the feedback from parents and visitors, with comments like:
“Better than a West End show!” Mrs Best
“The best performance I have ever seen!”
However, this production wasn’t just about putting on a show — it was the culmination of ten weeks of hard work during our after-school club. Children took the lead in every aspect: acting, dancing, making props, designing costumes, and learning songs. The entire production was run by the children, and their creativity and commitment truly brought the magic to life.
It was also a shining example of our Character Education values in action:
Resilience in learning lines and rehearsing,
Responsibility in managing roles and equipment,
Teamwork in supporting one another, and
Creativity in every scene, song, and set.
We are so proud of every single child at SEAC. You’ve all followed your yellow brick road — and it led straight to success!
