St Edward’s CE Academy, Cheddleton is a Church School situated in the Moorland village of Cheddleton which is located on the outskirts of Leek. Through the ages, the school has undergone numerous transitions. The original school building [now Cheddleton Tea Rooms] was established in Victorian times by the Church of England, using land granted by Rev. Henry Sneyd to the Parish of Cheddleton; specifically for the education of children of the labouring, manufacturing and other poorer classes. Our school has been on the current site since 1968, as a Junior School and later a Middle School, before gaining First School status in 1981. Since January 2017, St Edward’s has been an academy within the Staffordshire University Academies Trust [SUAT] and comes under the Church Diocese of Lichfield catering for pupils between the ages of three and nine.

At St Edward’s, we offer a flexible, high quality, teacher led nursery provision and children may start their journey of a full-time education in the September after their 4th birthday. We also offer excellent before school, after school and holiday care in our ‘Brambles’ provision.

Welcome to St Edward’s Cheddelton, we weren’t able to hold our open evening so have made a video for you to view the provision in our  Early Years, KS1 and KS2 to view this amazing video please click on the school log below.
