Christian Council supported Mr Warrington in helping to lead worship discussing our next charity focus which is the Sanctuary Foundation charity.
This charity supports refugees, particularly in Ukraine and Afghanistan.
We want to support this wonderful charity and to be able to show love and compassion to people who are currently facing extremely difficult situations and having to leave their home quickly to find safety. We spoke about the children becoming ‘Agents for Change’ and using their own journeys (going on a holiday or a walk) to help them reflect on how the refugees might be feeling on their difficult journeys and the fact that the refugees may not return to their own home, or even their families, after their journeys.

In support of this, we marked the end of Refugee Week to highlight the importance of the support and work we can do to help refugees in this country and the rest of the world.
