EARTH DAY 2021
Yesterday, the children across the school celebrated Earth Day 2021. The children took part in various activities which helped them to understand the importance of keeping our Wonderful World safe. EYFS spent time focussing on our Wonderful World and painted pictures of the Earth. KS1 and KS2 had a virtual visitor from Severn Trent teaching them about the 'Wonderful World of Water'. The children loved learning about how water is processed and how it gets into our homes. They asked lots of insightful questions and even took a pledge to conserve water and to only flush the 3 P's down the toilet. You can get involved with helping them with this by accessing the free resources from Severn Trent on the following link;
In addition, KS1 created bug hotels using resources they scavenged around the school grounds and KS2 thought about ways they could keep our World safe and did a litter pick around our school grounds.
Talk to your child and see what they can tell you about Earth Day 2021!
