In our whole school worship today, we have reflected on the situation in Ukraine using child friendly resources shared by the Lichfield Diocese.

In response to this, we are inviting the children and staff to come to school on Friday (11th March) dressed in blue and yellow.

There is also a local community group who are collecting donations to support Ukrainian refugees (please see the attached poster for details). If you would like to make a donation, these can be left in the collection boxes provided at the EYFS gate during morning drop off/home time collection, or in the school foyer at any point during the day tomorrow or Thursday. The deadline for donations is 5pm on Thursday 10th March as they will then be collected for transportation.

Alternatively, if you would rather make a monetary donation, this can be done via the Disasters Emergency Committee website:
https://www.dec.org.uk/

On behalf of Christian Council and the whole school we would like to express our sincere thanks for your generosity and kindness at such short notice.
It really has touched us seeing the amount of donations being brought into school and has made us realise what a strong community we are.
Thank you so much,
From Everyone at St. Edward’s Cheddleton
