Tonight at Cooking club we have had a special guest chef in attendance. We have linked up with one of our local chefs Thom Bateman who owns The Flintlock Restaurant in the village. He has been to show the KS1 children who attend the club how to make a simple meal of scrambled eggs on toast. The children were very interested in how he put the ingredients together and enjoyed helping to mix and season the scrambled eggs. The children also asked lots of questions about being a chef and the things that Thom cooks in his restaurant.

My Thanks to Thom for attending and enthusing a very positive interest in different aspects of cooking with the children. I’m sure we have some budding chefs on our hands.
